How to Import Courses using a CSV File

Import Courses

Note:  ONLY IMPORT COURSE INFORMATION FOR THOSE COURSES FOR WHICH YOU ARE REQUESTING SURVEYS.  Course imports should be done immediately before surveys are sent so that course information is accurate.



Courses Available
Note:  Folio defaults to allow courses.  Many smaller schools do not use courses or capture course information.  
To disallow course information, follow these steps:
  1. Click Off to disable courses
  2. Click Set Course Setting
* If the Course Setting is turned off, Folio will present you with a drop down to select the Course Type when importing or manually adding sections.  Folio will auto create courses for the school at the time of Section Imports when courses are turned off.

Folio allows you to import courses using a CSV file or to manually add courses individually.  To Import Courses using a CSV file, follow these steps:
  1. Click Go to Course Import
  2. Click Choose File to locate your CSV file
  3. Select Course Type from the drop down selection (Class, Team, etc.)
  4. Click Import Courses
